The Sea Chest

Journal of Pacific Northwest Maritime History

The Sea Chest is Puget Sound Maritime’s legacy journal of Pacific Northwest maritime history: Established in 1967, the journal’s purpose has been to chronicle the maritime history of the Puget Sound area, British Columbia, and Alaska. We seek to present readers a scholarly blend of researched material and first-hand accounts that will appeal to both the professional historian and general reader alike. The journal is issued three times each year.

A subscription and online access to our widely-regarded maritime journal is included with the “Navigator” through “Admiral” levels of PSM membership.
