Researching in Puget Sound Maritime’s Collections
There are two ways you can research Puget Sound Maritime’s collections; online or in person.
Our searchable online catalogue contains over 7,000 items from our collections. Yet this is less than 5% of our total holdings, so if you cannot find what you are looking for, or need to see it up close, schedule a research appointment.
The Maritime Research Center is located at the MOHAI Resource Center in Seattle’s Georgetown neighborhood, south of downtown. This building is not open to the public, so you must schedule a research appointments in advance. This also allows staff time to pull the items you need. To schedule an appointment, please fill out a research request form.
Research appointments are generally available on Thursdays, 10:00am – 3:30pm.
