Are you looking for an exciting internship that enhances your experience and understanding of museum and library collections? PSM has hosted many students from the University of Washington’s Museology Graduate program as well as their Library and Information Sciences program and is familiar with the structure of both programs’ internships, field practicums, thesis and capstone projects.
Students enjoy their PSM work because they can either choose a project that we already have in mind, or they can help shape the scope of their own projects. Furthermore, because we’re a small organization, students’ work makes a lasting impact on the organization. While many larger institutions will give students’ small ‘busy work’ tasks, PSM and its interns enjoy a mutually beneficial and impactful experience.
